This numbers-matching low mileage car was acquired as a stalled project from its second owner. The objective was to properly restore to a high standard.

Restoration Process: The body was treated to a bare-metal strip and application of BASF Glasurit Single Stage Lacquer. The Chrome and Stainless were plated and polished. The Trunk Liner was replaced and the Jack and Tools remain in their original box.
The Interior represents original appointments and Steering Wheel. Radio and Power antenna operate as do the Windshield Wipers. Door and trunk seals have been replaced. All lights and turn-signals operate including original Guide Fog and Headlamps.
The 331 V-8 OHV Engine was removed for rebuild and re-seal. The 4-speed Hydramatic Transmission was serviced and shifts perfectly. A YNZ Wire Harness and electric AUX Fuel Pump were installed. A highly detailed undercarriage and new correct exhaust system, Coker (Firestone) Tires and restored Sombrero’s dress out this museum quality show piece.
Since its initial restoration, the car has endured very light service, mostly car shows and display.
